The Magic of MBNA Reunion Event – Spring 2025
Hosted by Predictive Analytics Group
MBNA America was a place where many of us learned to treat the Customer as we expected to be treated, to put the Customer first every day – and meaning it. We were leaders in innovation, quality, efficiency, and Customer satisfaction. We were among the first companies to insist on an inclusive work environment. These values and experiences have stayed with us, and many of us still cherish the memories and relationships we built during our time at MBNA.
As we approach the 20th anniversary of Bank of America’s acquisition of MBNA, we still see people reminiscing about what we built, remembering the wonderful people we’ve lost, and thinking about people who changed their lives and gave them the encouragement, support, and opportunity they needed to be successful. None of this is surprising when you consider that we were a company of people who liked people.
Many of the leaders we remember from those days brought the MBNA attitude outlined by the precepts to other organizations or started new ones. Hundreds of people responded to a Facebook post assessing their interest in reconnecting with the people who put their careers on a life-changing track so a few of us got together to discuss how we might plan something like that.
The last paragraph of the book celebrating The First Fifteen Years says it all: “The record of all we have accomplished together tells us of more than memories. It speaks of challenges met and friendships made among people with common objectives. This record chronicles an attitude.” As we approach this milestone, we’re planning a reunion in Spring 2025 to reconnect with the people who made our careers at MBNA so memorable and to remember those we’ve lost.
